Fragrance
can make us romantic, sexy, confident, ironic, dreamy, cheerful, beautiful...
Fragrances caused eight emotional states:
•
four of them are favorable: happiness, sensuality, relaxation, excitement;
•
four are negative: anger, stress, depression, apathy.
And even if perfume is very expensive and trendy (for example, Chanel
N 5), it does not mean you will like it.
The perception of smell is very individual, even intimate. In addition,
each person has his/her own smell, some features of skin, body temperature
and various flavors of creams, lotions, powders that he/she uses. Imposition
of these factors leads to changing of smell composition. Development of
fragrance depends also on external factors: temperature and humidity of
the environment. That is why even fashionable unisex perfume suits one
woman, and does not suit the other. Therefore, you should use the following
tips when choosing a perfume.
1. Put a drop of perfume on the paper strip and smell to get a first impression
of the fragrance. It is better to smell not a sponge (which usually is
in the stores), and a piece of paper (a strip of special porous paper).
2. Apply another drop on the wrist. If you like even the fragrance of Chanel
N 5 or any other perfume, do not buy just a bottle. Take a fragrant strip
and smell it several times during the day, to grasp changing of smell.
Unisex or other perfumes have unequal strength and duration of fragrance.
There are three main stages of fragrance: the smell of the initial, basic
(middle) and residual. You must not estimate about perfume after its using
immediately. This bunch of odor appears after 15-20 minutes only. It is
the main (middle) odor which is felt during 20-25 hours. Then its strength
is decreased, and you can catch the residual odor over the next 10-15 hours.
You must bear in the mind the fact that your nose may becomes accustomed
to the odor, and you stop to feel it after a while.
In addition, the initial flavor is very different from the final sometimes.
Once I bought the expensive trendy unisex perfume. Of course, it was not
Chanel, but still a very good company. I really liked this odor. I have
perfumed and went to a party. But the smell of my perfumer began to seem
ugly in few hours! Therefore, you should keep in your mind that the ultimate
odor may seem even unpleasant, because the remaining ingredients can have
low volatility, such as heavy musky fragrance. Give your perfume per day,
that they have shown themselves fully. But if you can not wait that long,
reduce the time thought to an hour. And the best way is to buy womens perfume
in a small vial.
